Unyime Sarah Tommy is a technology leader, software quality and delivery expert, and Managing Partner at Assurdly, a delivery assurance company helping organisations successfully execute critical digital initiatives. With over a decade of experience across financial technology, software quality, product delivery, compliance and digital systems, Unyime has built her career around understanding not only how technology is built, but how it is governed, tested, adopted and made to work reliably in real-world environments. Her experience spans organisations including Interswitch, Korapay, Bundle Africa and Nestcoin, where she held roles across software quality assurance, compliance and program management. At Assurdly, Unyime leads work across product delivery, quality assurance, program management, compliance readiness and operating-model improvement. Since co-founding the company in 2019, she has helped grow it from its software quality assurance roots into a broader delivery assurance company that has supported more than 90 organisations across over 100 projects. Her work increasingly sits at the intersection of delivery, data and intelligent systems. She is the founder of Wholistic, an AI-enabled delivery operating system created from Assurdly’s own experience managing complex projects and fragmented information. Wholistic brings project context, reporting and delivery information together, connecting with the tools teams already use and applying AI to help surface insights, generate and review reports, and support better visibility and decision-making. She has also led the development of SalesSpark, another product that emerged from an internal operational need: creating a more structured way to manage business development from prospect identification and qualification through outreach, replies, opportunities and ongoing client relationships. Together, these products reflect Unyime’s approach to technology: identify recurring operational problems, understand the data and processes behind them, and build systems that make work more structured, visible and intelligent. Her experience in regulated technology also extends beyond Assurdly. Since 2019, she has served as Quality Assurance Lead at Open Banking Nigeria, contributing to API quality assurance, technical documentation and implementation frameworks supporting Nigeria’s open banking ecosystem. She is also the creator of NIBSS-in-a-Box, Assurdly’s reusable integration solution for licensed financial institutions, and has led work around other financial technology products including Assurdly’s Direct Debit Platform. Unyime holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Applied Technology with a focus on Data Analysis and a First Class Bachelor of Engineering in Information and Communication Engineering. Her perspective on policy, data and AI is grounded in implementation: how organisations can adopt emerging technology responsibly, how data and context shape the usefulness of AI systems, and how governance, quality and human accountability must evolve alongside increasingly intelligent technology. She is particularly interested in the point where policy meets practice: how organisations move from conversations about AI, data and digital transformation to building systems, controls and ways of working that can function responsibly in the real world.
